The General Office of the State Council of the PRC released a circular on public holidays schedule for 2026 on 4 November 2025. According to this circular, the holiday schedule for New Year's Day, Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, Labour Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day in 2026 are as follows:

January 4 (Sunday) is adjusted as a working

Spring Festival (Chinese New Year)

23 (Monday).
February 14 (Saturday) and February 28
(Saturday) are adjusted as working days.
Qingming Festival
One Day
Day off from April 4 (Saturday) to April 6 (Monday).
Labour Day
Two Days
Day off from May 1 (Friday) to May 5 (Tuesday).
May 9 (Saturday) is adjusted as a working
day.
Dragon Boat Festival
One Day
Day off from June 19 (Friday) to June 21 (Sunday).
Mid-Autumn Festival
One Day
Day off from September 25 (Friday) to September
27 (Sunday).
National Day
Three Days
Day off from October 1 (Thursday) to October
7 (Wednesday).
September 20 (Sunday) and October 10
(Saturday) are adjusted as working days.
Private enterprises in China may have their own public holiday schedules without the above adjustments. But please make sure that your employees can enjoy the thirteen statutory holidays in accordance the law.
